Britain's Elena Baltacha apologises but can't remember saying the F-word

Elena Baltacha, the last British woman in Wimbledon yesterday found herself having to apologise for uttering an expletive that she did not remember.

She said, "Someone told me I said the F-word out loud, but I do not remember that. I shouted a few things, but they were in Russian."

"If I have offended anyone, then I am sorry."

Baltacha will take on Belgium's Kirsten Flipkens with the hope of reaching the third round of Wimbledon and climbing into the world's top 100 for the first time.
