Someone please tell me why Fernando Verdasco is not training for his Davis Cup final?
Instead he is spotted (looking deliciously handsome) watching the match between girlfriend Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic at the Sony Ericsson Championships in Doha.
Fans no longer have to guess whether something is going on between Verdasco and Ivanovic. He is spotted sitting side by side with Ivanovic's parents Dragana and Miroslav.
However, sadly even the support from her parents and boyfriend couldn't help Ivanovic from stopping world no. 1 Jelena Jankovic.
Jankovic wins the round-robin play 6-3, 6-4.
In other results, Venus Williams defeated world no. 2 Dinara Safina 7-5, 6-3, while no. 9 Vera Zvonareva defeated Svetlana Kuznetsova 6-2, 6-3.

Since I have nothing much to blog about (while waiting for the results at Doha), I'll just put up some fascinating photos here.

You know I'm a Rafatard, but it doesn't mean that I can't criticize Rafael Nadal.
Rafa is not drunk in the picture but annoyed by the paparazzi in Paris. Well, bad week and a bad picture, that already make Rafa deserves a thumbs down.
Roger Federer is already in Shanghai now. Unlike previous years, he's no longer invincible anymore. But one thing never change, fans still think he is a major dork and this picture proves it :D

Jelena Jankovic deserves a thumbs down simply because she looks as if she's in a bathrobe. Period.
Whoever booed Rafael Nadal for retiring during the match against Nikolay Davydenko in the quarterfinal match at Paris Masters last Friday, or doesn't believe he is really injured, please give yourself a slap.
In these pictures, Nadal did seem a little annoyed upon returning to his hotel after announcing he has pulled out of the Paris Masters tournament with a knee injury.
And now it's even worse news.
Yesterday Rafael Nadal announced he had to pull out of the season-ending Masters Cup in Shanghai, citing fatigue after a long season and the need to prepare for the Davis Cup final.
He made the announcement on his website, describing his withdrawal as 'one of the most difficult decisions in his career'.
“It has been a long and difficult year where I managed to obtain great results, both on a professional and on a personal level,” he said.
“I have mentioned on various occasions that the tennis calendar has been extremely hard with practically all weeks playing and where it forces players to compete week in, week out, making it impossible for a top level player to be 100% for each event."
“On a personal level I had as one of my goals to become No. 1 during this year and competing at so many events might have harmed, especially at the end of the season, my physical condition, taking away the freshness needed to play at the top level of the game in these last events,” Nadal said.
Nadal also said he hoped that his absence would buy him time for the Davis Cup final against host Argentina from Nov. 21-23.
“I want to recover and be ready for the important Davis Cup final with my country that will be played in Mar del Plata, Argentina. That is also another reason for not coming to Shanghai,” Nadal added.
Nadal will be replaced in Wednesday’s draw in Shanghai by Frenchman Gilles Simon.
What do two lovely women do when they found themselves stranded in a desert island?
If they are Ana Ivanovic and Elena Dementieva, of course they'll play tennis! And they are not going to be alone as thousands of fans are already flocking in Doha in Qatar to watch the prestigious Sony Ericsson Championships that will begin tomorrow.
In conjunction with the tournament, Sony Ericsson staged a unique tennis match in a place that has never been played in before - a desert island.
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Doha skyline, Ana Ivanovic and Elena Dementieva rallied on a replica tennis court, specially built for the occasion, on Palm Island in the middle of Doha Bay in the Arabian Gulf.
According to Ana Ivanovic, "It was such a fun way to start the Sony Ericsson Championships; it was amazing and so unusual to be playing tennis on a deserted island with no one there but Elena, myself and the ballboys. I'm really looking forward to the tournament here in Doha and a great finish to the 2008 season."
Then Elena Dementieva commented, "It was such a special experience to play a game of tennis in the middle of the sea looking back at the Doha skyline - what a great memory to have of Doha. I'm really excited for the Sony Ericsson Championships to begin and showcase my best tennis to end the season."
The Sony Ericsson Championships is the prestigious end of season finale to the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour year; and sees the world's top 8 women singles and top 4 women's doubles teams compete for the titles and a share of a record prize money of $4.45 million.
