Maria Sharapova hops aboard a red double-decker in London

Maria Sharapova was happy to announce on her Facebook that she has made it on a red double-decker after so many years.

She was supposedly looking for a black cab but ended up on the English bus.

Lately Sharapova has become more humble despite her huge success this year. I wouldn't say that Sasha Vujacic has changed her because her fiance has somehow "disappeared" from her life.

Regarding the Wimbledon draw, Sharapova will play against Australian Anastasia Rodionova in the first round at SW19 starting next week.

Venus Williams traps in car after havoc evening at pre-Wimbledon party

Apparently it wasn't all smooth at the WTA Tour pre-Wimbledon players' party.

Strong winds during that evening had caused a sponsor's board outside Sir Richard Branson's event to topple, landing on one unsuspecting bystander, and then hit a sponsored car carrying Venus Williams.

The former Wimbledon champion had to remain inside the car while organisers removed the board before she could head back to her hotel.

Totally love the pictures although Gulbis appears to be scruffy and sloppy.

Rendy Lu Yen-hsun was spotted grocery shopping in London ahead of the Wimbledon tournament.

Earlier on, he took a bus from Eastbourne to London after an early exit at the AEGON International, losing to Ryan Harrison in the second round.

The Taiwanese player is looking forward to a great run at Wimbledon this year. However he has to clear his first hurdle, Harrison in the first round at the SW19.

Sam Stosur does her own laundry

Some celebrity tennis players are more down to earth than we realise.

I have heard that Rafael Nadal does his own laundry. So does Sam Stosur. Not only that she's doing it on her own, in fact she's having fun doing it!

Rafael Nadal's mini vacation before Wimbledon posted some pictures of Rafael Nadal having a blast at the beach with girlfriend Xisca and friends in Mallorca prior to flying to Wimbledon.

The 7-time French Open winner is on his quest for the 3rd Wimbledon and 12th Grand Slam title.

In another (good) news, Nadal said that he was honoured to be asked to carry the Spanish flag at the London Olympics opening ceremony.

Li Na's photo shoot for China's Olympic team

Recently Li Na did a photo shoot for the Chinese Olympic team. Others who took part were China's hero hurdler Liu Xiang and Dallas Mavericks' Yi Jianlian.

Li Na has been very busy with life outside of the tennis court after her triumph at the French Open last year receiving many invitations to events and of course sponsorship deals. Speaking of sponsorship, I wonder if the many online poker rooms sponsoring football clubs will also move into tennis. After all, poker and sports are quite synonym to each other.

Coming back to Li Na, time is running out for her as this could be her last chance to win an Olympic medal.
