Rafael Nadal's butt made my weekend!

And I'm serious.

What is better than a beautiful Saturday morning when you wake up and see these pictures?
Priceless :D

I wonder if Spaniards like to show off their tushes, intentionally and unintentionally...

We have Tommy Robredo who has done it. So does Fernando Verdasco. Both of them did that for charity though.

And now the Spanish world no. 1 is revealing his ass-et to the fans and paparazzi for free too!

Updates: Nadal was earlier on seen hanging out with his friends on the boat and the beach. He was also seen munching carbo food.

Now tell me if something's going on between Fernando Verdasco and Ana Ivanovic

Alright now. I still can't get over this photo of Fernando Verdasco flirting with Ana Ivanovic.

For the past couple of days, 'Verdasco and Ivanovic' is the most searched keyword in my blog.

Now there are more pictures found!

Looks like Verdasco was trying very hard jocking Ivanovic at the official reception of the 2008 China Open.

And check out more pictures taken during Ivanovic practice. Guess who was in the background?

Yes, that was Verdasco right there!

I wonder if something is going on here between the two hotties? Someone please enlighten me :D

By the way, Ivanovic is out of the tournament after losing in the quarterfinal against Zheng Jie 6-7, 6-2, 4-6. Verdasco suffered the same fate after beaten by Juan Carlos Ferrero 7-5, 6-4 which denied him from moving into the quarterfinal.

Updates: More pictures!

So the older woman sitting beside Verdasco is Ivanovic's mom, Dragana.

When you want to impress the girl, you must impress the mom too. And Verdasco did just that.

And by the way, most probably Verdasco is single now because he hasn't been seeing Priscila de Gustin for months.

Updates: More pictures!

A Chinese fan, Lola, captured these pictures hanging out together. Looks like a hotel in the background I suppose.

More info: Ivanovic and Verdasco are with Adidas together. Sven, Ivanovic´s coach, also a part-time coach of Verdasco. Both of them also share the same sparring partner (info from menstennisforums)

Singapore F1 night race: Rafael Nadal on the celebrity invite list?

At the Paddock Club within the F1 venue last Saturday night at around 10pm, he was said to have caused a commotion as he and Spanish world No. 1 tennis star Rafael Nadal apparently turned up before being ushered into a VIP suite. The only problem: No one was able to snap a picture as evidence (darn!).The F1 (Formula 1) show rolls into its newest town this week for the first ever night race in the late-season fight for the championship, in Singapore.

To heighten the excitement, it is rumored that Rafael Nadal and David Beckham are on the celebrity invite list.

Hollywood and high fashion sees no boundaries too and star-studded invite list include Star Wars director George Lucas, supermodel Naomi Campbell, socialite Paris Hilton, action star Jackie Chan, actress Michelle Yeoh and singer Nicole Scherzinger.

This impressive line up of world celebrities gives a whole new meaning to Formula One Grand Prix indeed.

When it was first announced, teams had questions about the lighting, the potential glare off the surface if it rained, and the wisdom of combining the night race novelty with a newly constructed track that none of the drivers had seen, let alone driven on.

Championship leader Lewis Hamilton was not worried about competing at night.
"It doesn't seem to be a problem in other sports and there have been huge preparations for this, so it will be great," the McLaren driver said.
Defending champion Kimi Raikkonen has not won a race since April said,
"I enjoy evenings and night time more anyhow."

"I like to sleep until noon every day so for me this seems the perfect venue. I am more awake in the evenings than in the mornings."
Do catch this race on TV. You certainly don't want to miss this.

Updates: Well, there's no evidence shown that Nadal and Beckham attended the F1 night race. I guess it's a rumour that remains a rumour. It's funny because asiaone.com still haven't given up. Read the excerpt from their article.
THE biggest celebrity touted to be in town for F1 was football superstar David Beckham.

At the Paddock Club within the F1 venue last Saturday night at around 10pm, he was said to have caused a commotion as he and Spanish world No. 1 tennis star Rafael Nadal apparently turned up before being ushered into a VIP suite. The only problem: No one was able to snap a picture as evidence (darn!).

"If I can attain good results [in the upcoming tournament], this year will be a really good season for me."
Nishikori, 18, became the first Japanese to advance to the fourth round of the U.S. Open in 71 years beating David Ferrer along the way.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga does a Thai version of Muhammad Ali

Finally we get to see Jo-Wilfried Tsonga doing something we all wanted to see! Yes it's boxing! Only that this is the Thai version. (Updates: Apparently Tsonga went into the boxing ring before back in May during the Hamburg Masters Series. Check out Lana's Great Tennis Photos.)

He was practicing during a Thai boxing demonstration to promote the ATP Thailand tennis Open 2008 in Bangkok.

Don't we all just love seeing the Muhammad Ali lookalike in shorts, half naked and delivering some punches here?

These photos are priceless!

Tsonga had a chance to learn some tips from Somluck Khamsing, a former Olympic boxing gold medalist. He even managed to land a left on the Olympian.

By the way Tsonga just defeated Lukas Dlouhy in the second round 7-6, 3-6, 7-6. Pretty nerve wreaking, huh?

Don't you think Fernando Verdasco and Ana Ivanovic are a perfect match?

So what do you get when you put two beautiful and famous tennis players like Fernando Verdasco and Ana Ivanovic together?

Do they create spark and chemistry?

Anyone looking at this picture might thought some flirting is going on *evil grin*. They could be the hottest item!

Updates: Check out more pictures here!

And it seems that David Ferrer and Richard Gasquet aren't comfortable seeing someone flirting there :P

So, Ferrer find someone else to kiss with. And that's Svetlana Kuznetsova.

So much drama going on here? Haha.

Well, guys, Verdasco is already attached to a hot Spanish model Priscila de Gustin.

And Ferrer's kiss isn't a romantic one either.

Apparently the players along with others like Jelena Jankovic, Andy Roddick and Sam Querrey were only catching up with each other while attending the official reception of the 2008 China Open at Shangri-La Hotel yesterday.

Marat Safin makes early departure at Thailand Open

Marat Safin thought he would improve on his world ranking at the Thailand Open by skipping the Davis Cup.

Well, Russia didn't made it to the Davis Cup final.

And Safin didn't even made it through the first round.

Philipp Petzschner sprang the first upset of the Thailand Open with a 6-4, 7-6 (7/4) defeating Russian Marat Safin yesterday.

The world-ranked 131 German reached the second round at the ATP level for the fourth time this season as he caught a frustrated Safin flat-footed to deny the former number 1 his 400th career match win.
"I didn't feel comfortable on the court, it's just the way I was today," said a deflated Safin, a semi-finalist in his previous two appearances.

"I didn't play well, nothing happened for me out there. It's my job to play tennis and I didn't do it well today."
Perhaps Safin was rather tired, judging from the pictures during his arrival at the Bangkok International Airport.

Family affair in Bangkok for the Djokovic boys

Introducing Marko Djokovic, the one with the letter 'L'.

Marko Djokovic, the younger brother of World No. 3 Novak, will make his ATP debut in Bangkok this week after receiving a wild card into the main draw of the Thailand Open.

The 17-year-old right-hander has been drawn to meet fifth-seeded Finn Jarkko Nieminen in the first round, while this season’s Australian Open champion Novak will compete against Julien Benneteau of France or a qualifier after receiving a first round bye.

The brothers have obtained a wild card into the doubles draw and will meet Frenchmen Fabrice Santoro and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the first round.

Marko, currently No. 1734 in the South African Airways ATP Rankings, has made three appearances on the ITF Futures circuit this year.

In July, he received a wild card into the qualifying competition of the Studena Croatia Open Umag but lost in the first round to World No. 310 Italian Francesco Piccari in three sets.

Who's Hot, Who's Not in Tennis Last Week

If you have been following my blog for awhile, you'll know I love Feliciano Lopez for his good looks. But I have to give him the thumbs down here for his, er, retarded look (sorry!).

Not everyone can look good wearing baseball cap backward. But Nicolas Lapentti can make it look so hot!

Fernando Gonzalez has quite a hairy situation here. But Juan Martin del Potro's is pretty decent and good enough.

I don't know why Dinara Safina keeps reminding me of the wicked witch in Disney's Snow White and the Seven Drawfs. If only the aspiring world no. 1 soften her facial expression a bit like Ana Ivanovic.
