Quote of the Day: Roger Federer is not a RoboCop

"Sometimes [my concentration] wanders. Sometimes if you have a song in your mind, sometimes you're thinking of what's going to happen tomorrow, what's the plan for tonight. All those things happen. We're human at the end of the day. We're not a machine and go from like point to point like RoboCop."
- Roger Federer

Roger Federer admitted allowing his mind to wander in his comfortable win over Marcel Granollers at the Dubai Tennis Championships.

Perhaps these are the things on his mind nowadays - does he need to get extra diapers for his twin daughters, will the kids grow up to be pretty and play tennis just like him, what are the best trust funds he should pick for them, etc.

This comment might just prove that tennis is no longer his no.1 passion. But he has such an amazing natural talent that he doesn't need to push too hard to stay on the current level.

Caroline Wozniacki: A true Liverpool fan

Do you remember the picture tweeted by Caroline Wozniacki sporting a Liverpool jersey with Fernando Torres autograph on it?

Since Fernando Torres is no longer with the Reds, the football team has to send her a new jersey.

This time it bears Steven Gerrard's autograph.

This picture was tweeted on @CaroWozniacki

It turns out that Wozniacki not only tweeted the picture of that new jersey, she also wore it during her quarterfinal victory over Flavia Pennetta at the Qatar Open.

Wozniacki wears the jersey on court

A fanatic Liverpool fan, Wozniacki stunned the crowd by taking to the court in the football club's famous home jersey.
She tweeted on @CaroWozniacki: "Got so many comments about the Liverpool jersey and to step out on court with it.. So why not;) haha"

Dinara Safina in Kuala Lumpur for BMW Malaysian Open

Dinara Safina, currently ranked no.112, made an appearance at the BMW Malaysian Open presser a moment ago.

Although she made into the tournament's Main Draw, she refused to comment much about her chance here nor making it into the top 10 or no.1 spot again.

According to Safina, she just wanted to be healthy and wouldn't think much.

At the presser, the tournament organiser assured the media that besides Francesca Schiavone, another top 10 player will be making her way to Malaysia too.

The recipient of the wild card will be announced in a couple of days and it will depend on the results in Doha.

I predict it could be Jelena Jankovic or Vera Zvonareva... could be Caroline Wozniacki too depending how much the organiser would pay for her appearance.

That's it for now. I'll come back with more updates on the BMW Malaysian Open soon.

Maria Sharapova the Tatler Temptress

Here is a series of photos of Maria Sharapova featured in the March edition of Russian Tatler magazine.

She looks gorgeous but honestly... granny panties are not exactly my thing. I bet you would feel the same too.

And speaking of 'betting', my friends have been telling me about an online casino. You might want to try your hands at it see you're lucky.

Game over for Super Mario

You might have heard this already but I think I'll just make a short mention anyway.

Mario Ancic has decided to hang his racquet and practice law instead.

Plagued by injuries and illness during his tennis career, Ancic confirmed at a news conference in his hometown of Split yesterday that he was retiring after 10 years because of a back injury.

Nicknamed “Super Mario” by his fans, Ancic has won three ATP during his tennis career and reached a career-high ranking of no. 7 in 2006.
