Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams take Wimbledon crown

Rafael Nadal and Serena Williams were grinning from ear to ear at the Wimbledon Champions Ball in London yesterday.

Earlier in the day, Nadal, the current world no. 1 player had an easy win over Tomas Berdych with the results 6-3, 7-5, 6-4 to win his 2nd Wimbledon title and claim his 8th Grand Slam overall.

Nadal marked his victory with a celebratory somersault.

Meanwhile, on Saturday Serena Williams defeated Russian Vera Zvonareva 6-3, 6-2 in just 66 minutes to win a fourth Wimbledon and her 13th Grand Slam title.

Thumbs up to Serena for the win and keeping it minimal with that little jacket.

Nadal now stands halfway to Federer’s record total of 16 Grand Slams. Let's hope he'll achieve a career grand slam by winning the US Open later in August.
