Ana Ivanovic ready to make splashing comeback

Once ranked outside the world top 50, Ana Ivanovic who has dropped 5kg and found form (currently ranked no.17) is optimistic to make a splashing comeback in the women's tennis.

On the eve of the Australian Open, Ivanovic revealed to The Sunday Telegraph that her split from Australian golfer Adam Scott in the middle of last year affected her game.

Looks like the bad times are over.

The Serbian beauty looks cheerful and radiant in the recent photos and video.

She took part in a water bombing contest - a bet with a New Zealand-based sports reporter - at Melbourne's Hilton on the Park.

Australian Open 2011: Crown's Tennis Players' Party

Every year, tennis players will show up at the luxurious Crown Casino for its annual players' party prior to the Australian Open.

Among the players who turned up this year were Rafael Nadal, Maria Sharapova, Robin Soderling with girlfriend Jenni Moström and David Nalbandian.

It's been awhile...

It's been awhile since I update this tennis blog.

After a long break from tennis and a vacation, I think it's time for me to get back into what I do best, that is to blog about tennis.

Elena Dementieva retires from tennis

Elena Dementieva made a shocking announcement by announcing her retirement at the end of her match against Francesca Schiavone at the season-ending WTA Championships in Doha.

She delivered a touching speech that sent everyone in tears including Vera Zvonareva and Kim Clijsters.

All seven of the other players involved in the end-of-season event gathered on court to pay tribute to the beautiful Russian player.

Elena, you'll be greatly missed!
