Kei Nishikori endorses UNIQLO apparel

It was my first time at UNIQLO outlet last weekend and I find the Japanese high-street fashion brand rather affordable yet stylish.

Coincidentally, Kei Nishikori has also signed a five-year sponsorship agreement with UNIQLO earlier this month wearing the apparel at Aircel Chennai Open for the first time and now at the Australian Open.

Nishikori who made a winning start in the first round at the Australian Open defeated Fabio Fognini 6-1, 6-4, 6-7 (4-7), 6-4.

Back to UNIQLO, the Japanese brand, which boasts an impressive lineup of trendy wear, is also endorsed by high profile celebrities, Charlize Theron and Orlando Bloom.

For more info of the UNIQLO brand, go to its Japanese website, US website or Malaysian website.

Kudos to the WTA Malaysian Open for having automotive giants BMW coming on board as title sponsor for this year's tournament.

Last year, the tournament was without a title sponsor until The Holden Horses Health Sanctuary stepped in last minute.

The BMW Malaysian Open, which will be held at the same place at Bukit Kiara Equestrian and Country Resort from February 28 to March 6, offers a total prize money of US$220,000.

More details coming up soon...

I missed Rally For Relief...

On the eve of the Australian Open, Pat Rafter, Andy Roddick, Andy Murray, Victoria Azarenka, Vera Zvonareva, Rafael Nadal, Kim Clijsters, Lleyton Hewitt, Novak Djokovic, Ana Ivanovic, Justine Henin, Caroline Wozniacki, Roger Federer, Sam Stosur and Jim Courier spent 90 minutes of their time to come together in an exhibition to raise money for the flood victims in Queensland.

The ATP and WTA stars entertained 15,000 fans at Rod Laver Arena and raised $1.8m within hours on Sunday.

Here's the highlight of the sold-out charity event if you've missed it too.

Ana Ivanovic ready to make splashing comeback

Once ranked outside the world top 50, Ana Ivanovic who has dropped 5kg and found form (currently ranked no.17) is optimistic to make a splashing comeback in the women's tennis.

On the eve of the Australian Open, Ivanovic revealed to The Sunday Telegraph that her split from Australian golfer Adam Scott in the middle of last year affected her game.

Looks like the bad times are over.

The Serbian beauty looks cheerful and radiant in the recent photos and video.

She took part in a water bombing contest - a bet with a New Zealand-based sports reporter - at Melbourne's Hilton on the Park.
