more tagged post: celebrities I want to meet

When Anthraxxxx tagged me with this meme, I felt a lil' bit intimidated because his post was really good!

This fantasy meme actually goes like this:
“You are in an alternate universe. You are a single person not involved in any relationship, and you have just published a New York Times bestseller. A movie studio has invited you to Hollywood to talk about a movie deal for three days, and as part of the wooing process, they offer to host a one-on-one dinner each night with the celebrity of your choice. Who would you pick? It could be a star you want to have a shot at ‘hooking up’ with, or it could just be someone you admire.”

Come on, if I'm a best selling author, I'll definitely ask for Oprah Winfrey! We are talking about the most powerful woman in the world who can make me even more famous and rich. You know she loves books. I'll ask her to consider to put me on the Oprah show because I'm going to be the next big thing! Remember I'm going to have a movie career soon....

On the next dinner, I really want to meet up with Angelina Jolie. I'm going to tell her I've just met up with Oprah and she's a nice lady. I'll ask Angie to forgive Oprah for being so bias and stood by Jennifer Aniston without listen to Angie's side of story. I'm going to persuade Angie to accept Oprah's invitation to be on the Oprah show. Of course I'll remember to ask about how Pax Thien adapt to his new life and if Maddox is doing well in school.

The third dinner is going to be a very important one. I have a best selling book and a movie career soon. And it's not going to be complete without a music career. So I want to meet up with Timbaland to see if he's interested to collaborate with me in my next attempt to launch a career in the music business. If he doesn't agree, then I'll have no choice but to look for Scott Storch, his rival instead.

Actually I'm not really keen in meeting up with celebrities. I just want to meet up with 'Chow Kung' because I'm really sleepy now. Good nite!

Updates: Ok lah, I've decided to tag Vhanded. I'm curious to know what he would say or do when meeting his hero, Bill Gates.

Jolie-Pitt: one big happy family

Angelina Jolie has taken custody of her new son, Pax Thien Jolie.

Angelina and her eldest son, Maddox, visited Pax at his orphanage. Angelina stayed at the orphanage for about 20 minutes then Pax was carried into a waiting minivan with dark windows, his face shielded from photographers with an umbrella. Angelina followed him into the vehicle and the two headed to the nearby adoption ceremony.

Reports claim that Angelina cried as the adoption papers were finalised at 9am local time and Pax, previously called Pham Quang Sang, officially became her son.

She now has to meet with consular officials to finalise Pax’s passport to enable him to fly to the US to meet the rest of his new family. He, Maddox and Angelina are expected to fly out tomorrow or over the weekend.

Angelina adopted Pax as a single parent because Vietnamese adoption law doesn’t allow unmarried couple to adopt children but Angelina’s partner Brad is expected to adopt Pax at a later date.

Brad couldn't be there in Vietnam due to contract working on a film in Los Angeles.

On the other hand, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s ten-month-old daughter, baby Shiloh is getting her acting career off to an early start. She is set to play Cate Blanchett’s role as an infant in the film, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, which also stars Pitt.

According to tabloid magazine reports: “Brad and Shiloh saved the day when twin sisters hired to take turns playing actress Cate Blanchett’s character as a baby wouldn’t settle down. Everyone waited in vain while the babies were fed, changed and hugged, but nothing worked to calm them on the set in New Orleans. Then quick-thinking Brad realized his daughter’s happy and mellow disposition made her a quick fix for the role.”

Shiloh, who had been playing in the on-set day care center, was quickly put into costume.

The source added: “She’s a natural. Shiloh did her scenes perfectly and was giggling and happy throughout her big day.”

Shiloh is now ready to welcome a new brother into her life.

angelina jolie should be TIME person of the year

I was wondering what are the criteria for a person to be chosen as TIME magazine 'Person of the Year'.

Personally, I think Angelina Jolie should be the one instead of Mr. Bill Gates & wife and Bono U2. Yes, they have done a lot to help the unfortunates but so did Jolie. Jolie did a good job as the goodwill ambassador for UN. She has contributed a lot in terms of financial support and relief effort. She visited quake victims and refugee camps. And she is a good mother of two kids, Maddox and Zahara.

A lot of celebrities or influential people contribute back to the society too. I think Oprah and Bob Geldof did a pretty good job as well in year 2005. But Angelina Jolie grabbed more headlines than anyone else throughout the year. With her humanitarian effort, the attention she gets in movies, her role as a mother and relationship with Brad Pitt, she is the 'Person of the Year'. Unless the TIME magazine is on the Aniston camp.

angelina vs aniston: who won the biggest feud of 2005?

Definitely Angelina Jolie! Not because she has won the heart of our Mr. Pitt. It is Aniston who had made the wrong decision by going public with the divorce and doing things that bring her self image down.

I don't really hate Aniston. In fact I love to watch Aniston in Friends (although Rachel is not my favourite character). I was a bit annoyed by her recent appearance on Oprah. I was pretty sure that she tried to gain sympathy from viewers (and Oprah). And the fact that she recently appear topless on the cover of a magazine simply shows her desperation for attention.

With her talent I believe she can make it in Holllywood even without Pitt (and Friends). She does not need to resort to cheap publicity like what she is getting now. Aniston should get some tips from Nicole Kidman.

angelina jolie could be the next bond girl

Angelina Jolie is said to have loved the script for "Casino Royale" (the latest Bond movie starring Daniel Craig as agent 007, who coincidently Jolie's co-star in Tomb Raider) but hasn't sign the deal yet. The producers are said to have considered Jolie as the perfect choice for the part of Vesper Lynd, a Russian double agent who beds agent 007.

Although it's great to see her being so successful in commercial flicks, I would love to see her starring in heavy and meaty roles again just like what she did in her past movies like Gia, Foxfire and Girl, Interrupted.

angelina jolie's speech on live 8 was axed

Music makes the people come together ...

Really enjoy the effortless performance by Green Day, Madonna and Snoop Dogg. Too bad that we didn't get to watch the speech by Angelina Jolie which was axed at Astro Channel 88. Don't get me wrong. Jolie didn't swear in her speech (but a number of musicians did during their performance). Insider told me that they didn't managed to squeeze in her part, that's all.

No doubt Live 8 is the biggest concert ever. It was like all of a sudden we have forgotten about war and terrorism. Instead Sir Bob Geldof makes us realised that we still have an unfinished business, poverty.

I don't care if some extremists think that this is a propaganda of the West.

Hopefully when the G8 leaders meet this month, they won't disappoint all the people around the world.

goddess jolie

Finally I went to watch Mr and Mrs Smith last night. I have to admit that I'm a big fan of Angelina Jolie (and I used to like Brad Pitt a lot when he was first featured in the movie Thelma and Louise many many years ago).

Mr and Mrs Smith was indeed a movie with a simple story line that intend to sell the two sexy hot stars. However, the real star in this movie is Jolie. She simply outshine Pitt himself. She again proves herself as one of the Hollywood A-list action star. Mr and Mrs Smith is indeed a Jolie movie.

However, I still miss the old Jolie. Remember her movies such as Foxfire, Hackers and Gia whereby her characters are much deeper (and often androgynous which is simply nice to watch). Nowadays her films are too commercialise. I wish to see her in dramatic movies that will show more of her acting skills (which she has) and of course earn her an Oscar.

Mr and Mrs Smith is not really my cup of tea although the movie done fairly well. The night before I was at the AEI, UM to watch a rather moving movie called Central Station. It was a 1998 Brazilian movie by the director Water Salles. The best things about watching this movie was I don't have to pay a cent and don't even have to line up to get a ticket (there's even refreshment provided). Central Station was an award winning movie that express the triumph of the human spirit.

The story is about Dora, a single and lonely elderly woman who earns her living by writing letters for illiterate customers at the Rio de Janeiro's Central Station. Things however begin to change when she reluctantly befriend a homeless orphan, Josue. She agrees to help Josue search for the father that he never known. The journey becomes a quest for their own identities, a boy who search for his father and a woman who search for her heart. Indeed a movie with a big heart!

Think I will spend every Wednesday watching movie at AEI rather than trying hard to get tickets at TGV (and M-Cinema doesn't even work at all).
